Morgan Gorerino
Morgan Gorerino is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in human resources, organizational development, and training management. He holds an MBA in Strategic Leadership from the University of Zimbabwe and a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of South Africa. His academic foundation is further strengthened by a Higher National Diploma from the Institute of People Management Zimbabwe and a Diploma in Business Leadership from the Zimbabwe Institute of Management.
Morgan’s career began at ZIMSTAT as an Office Administrator, where he honed his administrative and operational skills. He then transitioned to PSMAS, contributing significantly in the membership division from 2003 to 2009. His tenure at Hwange Colliery Company Limited (HCCL) saw him rise through the ranks from Graduate Trainee to the pivotal role of Organisation Development and Change Manager, where he spearheaded initiatives that aligned workforce capabilities with organizational goals.
In October 2024, Morgan accepted the role of Head of Human Resources and Administration at the Zimbabwe School of Mines, where he is responsible for driving HR strategies and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. He is a Fellow Member, Institute of People Management Zimbabwe (IPMZ), Matabeleland IPMZ Committee member, ATS School Coal Fields Primary Board of Governors, active Zimbabwe Golf Association member, active Japan Karate Association member and a Public Speaker, with Toastmasters International.
