Zimbabwe School of Mines reviewed the 2022 Strategic Plan for the period January 01, 2022, to December 31, 2022.  The Plan was developed in support of Vision 2030 and the National Development Strategy (NDS1).  The following objectives were highlighted by the ZSM Board Chairman:

• Provision of human capital to support the growth of the Small-Scale Mining Sector;
• Provision of human capital to support the growth of the diamond sector and the related industries involved in the beneficiation and value addition of our minerals;
• To respond to industry & Government calls for the establishment of the National Disaster Centre in collaboration with the Department of Civil Protection Unit, in a manner that can generate revenue and bring benefits to the School;
• To respond to the Government’s call for the establishment of the Gemology Centre.
